"The Snail and the Whale"

First we will read the book called The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson.  Then I want you to use your imagination and draw a picture (using Pixie) of another place that the whale took the snail on his tail!  Don't forget to add your name to your Pixie drawing.

After you have finished your drawing and printed it, please go to Spelling City.  Click on the link below:

You will need to type your 8 spelling words for next week in the boxes provided.  Then click on the green circle that says Play A Game.  I will give you your list of spelling words.



If you have any time left in class, you can try this funny fill-in game (a Mad-Lib) and then read your silly creation to us.  You may print your story if you would like.  Click on the link below to get started:

Video Valentines with Animoto!

Each student will create a video on www.animoto.com that will be emailed to their parents on Valentine's Day.  Students will need to do the following:
1. Type the text for the first slide (e.g. Happy Valentine's Day!)
2. Select the photos (stored on the HTS server) he/she wants to include in the video (photos of themselves and their friends).
3.  Type the text for the last slide (e.g. Love, Johnny)
4.  Select the background music for the slide show.
5.  Click Produce Video and wait to review it.
Mrs. Miller will email the videos to each parent.  Enjoy!
