Practice With Rhyming Words

Today in Technology Class we are going to play two different games that will help you practice words that rhyme.  The first game is a concentration (matching game) where you must find all of the pairs of rhyming words.  In the second game, you will help Max cross the river by choosing the correct word that rhymes with the given word.  Play the Medium level and then try the Hard level!  You will need to click on the links below to begin playing (the link will turn green when you put your cursor over it).

Once you have played both games a few times, you may finish the map you created last week on Neighborhood Map Machine.  Your map is saved on your computer's desktop.

Welcome to Technology Class!

On the first day of class, we will discuss the classroom rules and expectations for the year.  I will teach the 1st graders how to get into the 1st Grade Technology blog so they can access fun websites from home (and during class time).  I will also introduce our new online math program -- Mathletics (www.mathletics.com).  Each student has their own account with a user name and a password.  We will practice navigating this site and playing math games.  I'm looking forward to a great year with 1st grade and helping them to increase their knowledge and comfort level with technology!
